As a minimum standard of care, a blank copy of the AAR Residential Resale Purchase Contract should be provided to the client no later than:
- The Exclusive Right to Sell/Rent is executed with the Seller
- When a Buyer Broker Agreement is executed with a buyer
- Prior to showing homes if the agent elects not to use a buyer broker
Failure to have a complete understanding of the terms and covenants contained within the purchase contract often leads to an incomplete representation of the client’s best interests.
